Workshop Opportunities 2015-16

Workshops offered at the Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies are designed as opportunities for added learning for our current MA and first year Ph.D students. Some workshops are also open to current upper graduate students, and undergraduate students where specified. For questions about workshops please email rebecca.biason@utoronto.ca

Voice Exchange: Sonic Walking Tour Project
Weekly Meetings: Wednesdays 3:00pm – 5:00pm Beginning September 30 and ending at the end of October

Aesthetics and Practice of Theatre Lighting
When: First Meeting October 8th, runs through to February
Where: Seminar Room
Lead: Dr. Paul J. Stoesser
Students will be introduced to select theoretical and pragmatic considerations of lighting. Through the interpretation of lighting design plots and other design documents as well as equipment selection and handling, this exploration will examine how the properties of light are utilized in the objectives of stage lighting.
The Centre’s theatres will serve as our laboratories and, when possible, these examinations will be conducted in relation to actual production situations within the Centre.
